While vertical video is a trend on social media today, trends come and go, but your wedding film should remain timeless. That’s why all videos I deliver, from the full film to the short-form clips, are created and delivered in a horizontal (16:9) cinematic format.

Each shot is composed intentionally during filming, with framing, depth, and movement crafted to suit a widescreen aesthetic. Cropping to vertical would not only compromise the composition, but also diminish the emotional and visual impact designed into each frame.

Beyond that, vertical cropping reduces the feeling of immersion, the sense of space, landscape, and atmosphere that allows the viewer to travel through your day. Whether it’s the vastness of a vineyard, the intimacy of golden light across a terrace, or the symmetry of a ceremony setting, these elements need room to breathe. A vertical format compresses that experience.
